Students of the Taraba State University have expressed joy as the management banned the sale of handouts and textbooks by lecturers.

The management, on Thursday, also announced a ban on the collection of unauthorised dues from the students. The announcement, contained in a circular, was made through the office of the school registrar and signed by Yakubu D Fwa, Deputy Registrar, Academics. Some of the students, who could not hide their excitement, described the action of the school authority as the best Sallah gift they have ever received.

They urged the authorities not to relent in checking the lecturers as some of them would still go ahead to secretly force their handouts or textbooks on the students.
