The founder and chief executive officer of an online news platform, The Cable, Mr Simon Kolawole, has urged the Federal Government to tackle the insecurity and unemployment crises in the country.
Kolawole, at the colloquium and awards ceremony organised by the Akinjide Adeosun Foundation in Lagos, said Nigeria would continue to remain undeveloped because of the lack of visionary leadership. He said, “Those who govern the affairs of this nation were elected into power without having an idea or vision of how to develop the country, which is why there are no developments in the country.
“Unemployment and insecurity are the major problems ravaging the country due to the leadership’s inability to identify the cause of problems and proffer solutions. Unemployment is the major cause of insecurity in the country; many youths graduate yearly without jobs, hence they engage in terrorism, banditry, and other criminal activities,” Kolawole said.Read Also
