The Supreme Court has set aside a date to rule on the validity of the 2019 primary elections conducted by the All Progressives Congress in Zamfara State.

The acting Chief Judge of Nigeria would be leading the five-man panel that would be delivering the final verdict on the case. The case, which was brought to the apex court by a faction of the APC led Governor Abdulazeez Yari, is seeking to upturn the ruling of the Appeal Court that set aside the judgment delivered by the Zamfara High Court allowing the All Progressives Congress to field candidates in the 2019 election.
