Zamfara Governorship: Supreme Court to decide APC’s fate May 24

The Supreme Court on Thursday fixed May 24 to deliver judgment in the appeals over the disqualification of candidates of the All Progressive Congress in Zamfara State.

Mr Mohammed announced the date following passionate appeals that the court considers the judgment before May 29, so as not to create constitutional crisis in the state. The appeal was filed by the Kabiru Marafa faction of the party challenging the outcome of the primary. Mr Fagbemi said the judgement of the Court of Appeal, Sokoto Division, should be set aside on the grounds that the said judgement was a miscarriage of justice.
