Israel Ogundipe has asked Nigerians to show themselves neighbourly love and kindness regardless of religious and ethnic affiliations.
June 28, 2023 9:30 PMIsrael Ogundipe, shepherd-in-charge of Celestial Church of Christ, Genesis Global, has asked Nigerians to show themselves neighbourly love and kindness regardless of religious and ethnic affiliations.
In a statement on Wednesday ahead of the church’s Stand Out Conference which is slated to hold on August 13 in Lagos, the cleric said with neighbourly love and kindness, strife and conflict will dissipate and insecurity reduced. The cleric said the Eid al-Adha celebration is an opportunity for Nigerians to speak with one voice beyond the differences in faith.
“Love is a universal language understood by everyone regardless of religious, ethnic, gender and social differences. Jesus taught extensively on neighbourly love that there is no commandment greater than love,” Ogundipe said.“Christians are encouraged to show love to all men and women. Nigerians should imbibe this attribute of love because it has no religion.
“With love and kindness to each other, strife and conflict will gradually end in Nigeria. With love and kindness towards one another, we will be able to concentrate our energy and time on things that unite us that the things that divide us.”
