Vice President Kashim Shettima stated that Nigeria can convert its debt into economic assets through responsible financial management. He emphasized that achieving sustainable economic growth, poverty reduction, and other benefits are possible with prudent debt utilization. Speaking at the inauguration of the Debt Management Office (DMO) Supervisory Board, Shettima urged citizens and leaders to view national debt as an opportunity rather than a burden. He highlighted the current administration's efforts under the Renewed Hope Agenda (RHA) to ensure long-term debt sustainability and called on the board members to develop a strategic debt management approach for the nation's benefit.
