Seven persons drowned in the swimming pools of three hotels and on an Island in Lagos State this week. Two of the victims were said to have drowned at a hotel in Mushin, one in a hotel’s pool on the Island and another one at a hotel located in the Shasha area of the state. While one victim drowned at Ibeshe Island, two others fell in the lagoon from the Third Mainland Bridge after their over speeding bus met with a fatal accident.

Details obtained from the police yesterday revealed that the cases of drowning occurred between April 8 and 12. Around 7:30pm of the same April 10, two young boys, it was learnt, drowned at a Guest House in Mushin.It was also unclear whether they were lodgers at the Guest House considering the time they were in the pool.
