A fire outbreak on Dosumu Idumota street in Lagos Island has affected about 14 buildings. Two structures collapsed completely and two others partially caved in. The cause of the fire was traced to refuelling a generator with fuel storage in kegs at a three-building complex housing a printing shop with chemical contents. Firefighting operations are ongoing and preventive measures will be enforced.
About 14 buildings were affected on Tuesday by a fire outbreak on Dosumu Idumota street in Lagos Island .
“The cause was traced to refuelling a generator among others, with fuel storage in kegs at the penthouse of a three-building complex housing a printing shop with chemical contents,” the statement reads.
