Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State presented the N1.1 trillion 2025 budget proposal to a faction of the state House of Assembly led by Victor Oko-Jumbo. This is Fubara's second budget presentation since assuming office, following the defection of 27 Assembly members and subsequent political upheaval.

Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has presented the 2025 budget proposal to a faction of the state House of Assembly . Fubara presented the N1.1 trillion budget to the Victor Oko-Jumbo-led House of Assembly on Monday. The four-member Assembly faction led by Oko-Jumbo had earlier read Fubara’s letter requesting permission to present the appropriation bill during plenary on Monday. This marks Fubara’s second budget presentation since assuming office.

Fubara had presented the 2024 state appropriation bill of N800 billion in 2023 to a four-man House of Assembly faction led by the Speaker, Edison Ehie. He made the presentation amid the sudden demolition of parts of the State House of Assembly complex. This followed the defection of 27 Assembly members, led by fractional Speaker Martin Amaewhule, from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
