The Rivers State Police Command said its men arrested a suspect who escaped from the Owerri Correctional Centre, Imo State during a jailbreak in 2021.
The state Commissioner of Police, Nwonyi Emeka, disclosed this at a press conference in Port Harcourt, the state capital, on Tuesday.
Emeka said the suspect allegedly killed two persons in his community before fleeing to Rivers State in a bid to escape justice before operatives stormed his hideout in Rumuolumeni, outskirts of Port Harcourt.
