By making such bogus claims, the Benue lawmaker said, “Dokubo is attempting to bring down the military and make militancy popular in the eyes of the people”.
He said the Nigerian Armed Forces have, in recent times, proven to be professional, patriotic, and committed to protecting the nation’s territorial integrity. While admitting that few bad eggs exist in the military, Agbese said it was unjust to generalise as this will demoralise troops who make sacrifices for the nation.Agbese, however, warned that militancy must not be allowed to return to the country if that’s what Dokubo wants to achieve.“I appreciate Dokubo who is my good friend for his unequivocal stand on a lot of issues but I think he missed the point on this particular subject,” he said.
