Police and relations of a man killed in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State have disagreed over the cause of his death.

The family members are claiming that it is the lingering inter-party crisis in the area that claimed the life of one Mr. Dennis Osifo, who they say is a member of All Progressives Congress, APC, allegedly stabbed to death by thugs suspected to be from an opposition party. However, Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Chuks Orisewezie, in a statement, said the late Osifo was “a known cultist in the area, who always terrorised people and was lynched at PTI Road, where the Police took his body and deposited same in the mortuary.

When he was rushed to Central Hospital Ekpan and General Hospital Warri by his relations, they were referred to Delta State University Teaching Hospital, DELSUTECH, where he died the following day.
