The Gombe State Police Command, on Friday, disclosed that no fewer than four cattle rustlers were arrested in the state.
According to the Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Gombe State Command, Sharif Saad, the arrest was sequel to a case of theft of two cows, which was reported to the Gona divisional headquarters.
Saad disclosed that a cattle merchant, identified simply as Jibrin of Gidim village, said unknown persons entered his compound and made away with the cattle valued at N700,000. He said, “On receipt of the information, detectives of the division mobilised to the scene and the bulls were traced to an uncompleted building at Nassarawo Quarters, where four cows suspected to have been stolen were seen and the complainant identified two as his.
