Detectives at the weekend raided popular illicit drugs sales outlets in Lagos and arrested two dealers.

Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu, said the operation was to cut off the drugs supply chain to criminals.Odumosu said there was a strong correlation between drugs abuse and violent crimes and that the only way to stem the rising crime in most parts of the country was to tackle drugs supply outlets.
