Operatives of the Nasarawa State Police Command attached to Kadarko Division have arrested one Isa Usman, a quack medical doctor.
The suspect was nabbed on Wednesday at the Iyayi Village, Kadarko district of Keana Local Government Area, LGA of the state for allegedly procuring and administering Procaine Injection on one Zaki Yaka Ajohol which led to his death. The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Ramhan Nansel made this known in a statement he issued on Wednesday.
The suspect claimed to have been trained at Asibitin Yusuf in Agyaragu, Obi LGA of the State. He confessed to procuring and administering procaine injection on his victim for three days to treat typhoid. On the fourth day, the suspect administered the same dose of injection which made the victim fall immediately after and became unconscious. The victim, according to the PPRO was 'was rushed to primary health care at Akeleku where he was confirmed dead.
