Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang has inaugurated the Chairman and members of the Plateau State Civil Service Commission, urging them to provide visionary leadership to strengthen the civil service . Speaking at the event, Governor Mutfwang highlighted the critical role of the civil service in implementing government policies and programs. He charged the commission to uphold professionalism, integrity, and excellence in its operations.
Represented by his Deputy, Josephine Piyo, the Governor identified absenteeism and negligence as significant challenges within the Civil Service. He called on the commission to develop effective systems to monitor attendance and evaluate performance. Governor Mutfwang also encouraged the commission to drive reforms aimed at modernizing the Civil Service, integrating technology, and fostering innovation to improve service delivery. Expressing optimism, the Governor stated that the new commission would reposition the Civil Service to deliver more efficient and effective services to the people of Plateau State. In his remarks, the Commission Chairman, Paul Wai, pledged to build on the administration’s achievements in developing a robust and efficient workforce.
