The Nigerian Army says the General Officer Commanding 3 Division of the Nigerian Army and Commander Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), Major General Ibrahim Ali, is not a Fulani from Miyango community of Bassa Local Government of Plateau State.
Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations of 3 Division of Nigerian Army, Major Eli Lazarus, said this following campaigns against the GOC, that he was in Plateau to support the Fulani against Irigwe which recent clash led to the death of many people from Bassa villages.According to posts making the round; “The GOC is from Miango community, hence he is supporting the Fulani against the Irigwes among other wild and unsubstantiated allegations.
