Oyo State House of Assembly has summoned the leaders of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association in the State. The lawmakers asked the leaders of the association to appear before it and explain roles played during the recent attack that took place in Iwajowa Local Government Area.
The gave the order on Wednesday during a plenary presided over by Deputy Speaker, Hon. Muhammad Fadeyi.
had earlier reported that no fewer than four people died as a result of a clash that occurred in Iwajowa Local Government Area. The lawmakers, while condemning the attack, called on the State Police command to beef up security in the area. The House also called for the arrest of the Fulani herdsmen who allegedly perpetrated the killings. These resolutions followed a matter of urgent public importance moved by the member representing Iwajowa State Constituency, Anthony Ogunsola.
