The Nation Newspaper Protest: Oyo meets student union leaders, promises more youth empowerment
Following a recent student union protest in Ibadan, the Oyo state government convened a meeting with leaders from various student organizations on Tuesday, October 17.
She highlighted that the governor regards students as essential contributors to the advancement of his administration, pledging to utilize her position to expedite the students’ requests and concerns within the government. The commissioner reassured the student leaders that she would raise their demands with the governor and collaborate with all relevant stakeholders to expedite their resolution.
The student bodies that visited the Commissioner were the Federation of Oyo State Students Union, FOSSU; the National Council, the; the Federation Of Ibarapa Students Association ; the Federation Of Ogbomoso Students Union ; National Association Of Okeogun Students ; and National Association of Oyo Students .
