He acknowledged the opposition’s role as a watchdog while cautioning against remarks that could destabilise the nation. He criticised recent remarks from “certain opposition members” against the president, which he claimed stirred unnecessary controversy.“The truth is that we don’t have any other country except Nigeria, and that is why we need to play the role of opposition reasonably,” he said.

“Members of opposition parties have the right to criticise the government, but such criticism should be constructive and aimed at helping the government achieve its best for the people.
