The Nation Newspaper Oyebanji’s wife, DAWN DG, scholars extol Aremu at 60
, Director General, Development Agenda for Western Nigeria Commission, Mr. Seye Oyeleye, former Vice Chancellor, University of Ibadan , Prof. Idowu Olayinka and former Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau, have extolled the virtues of a scholar, Prof. Oyesoji Aremu, at his 60th birthday celebration and launch of his memoir.
Mrs. Oyebanji, special guest of honour, said Aremu’s name was synonymous with excellence, accommodation, commitment and scholarship, noting that the younger generation should also imbibe those virtues.She said: ‘’Prof. Aremu is a mentor of mentors, whose profound impact on academic and literary world is undeniable. His name has become synonymous with excellence in scholarship and his contribution has shaped the landscape of social sciences and humanity.
Oyeleye said he had known Aremu for the better part of the last 30 years. He said the professor epitomised diligence, integrity and dedication, which must be emulated by the younger generation.
