The suspect is described as a white man in his late 20s and standing between six feet and six feet two inches tall with a medium build, dark brown, curly hair and a dark brown beard. He was wearing a black baseball cap, a white T-shirt with a logo on the front, grey shorts, black shoes and a blue wristband. He carried a multicoloured backpack and rode a black bicycle.
Anyone with information about the incident was asked to call the Ottawa Police Service hate and bias crime unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5015. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 or online at crimestoppers.ca.
