The Chairman of the Osun State chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Dr. Tosin Odeyemi, has called for the dismissal of Laide Bakare, as Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ademola Adeleke. Odeyemi described the outfit of Bakare, a Nollywood artiste at a recent event in Osogbo as an embarrassment to the state government.
Bakare had organised the Osun Comedy Fest, an event attended by government officials and hundreds of young people. However, her choice of attire at the gathering has sparked controversy and widespread criticism. The actress and government official was seen wearing a skimpy, sleeveless blue gown that exposed a significant part of her chest. Many guests expressed their disapproval, with the outfit becoming a major talking point at the event.
He criticised her outfit, arguing that it was inappropriate for a public official and did not reflect positively on the government she represents. According to him, “The scenario became worse as she was seen gallivanting around the stage in the presence of some top government officials. “How many of these attendees can allow their wives or children to dress like that to an event? It’s an embarrassment that Mr Governor still abodes such elements in his cabinet.
