Nigerians have been urged to demonstrate their unflinching support for the officers and men of the Nigerian armed forces in their ongoing and sustained
Oba Adekunle Oyelude Makama, the Oluwo of Owu Kuta, made the call in a statement in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, on Monday.
In the statement, Oba Makama who is the permanent chairman of Owu kings. also expressed satisfaction with the recent successes recorded by the military which has culminated in the surrender of large numbers of insurgents in the past weeks. While commending the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Faruk Yahaya, for his effort in the counter-insurgency war, the monarch disclosed that the sustained military onslaught on the shores of Lake Chad and the Sambisa Forest General Area was a development which called for happiness amongst citizens.
