MANY suspected cultists had been reportedly arrested in Osogbo when teams of police operatives raided some black spots in the town.that the arrests were made between Saturday and Sunday, following a tipoff that some members of a cult group were planning to hold their annual celebration.
The source also said spots raided by the police include Egbatedo, Oke Baale, Kolawole and Itaolokan areas; all located within Osogbo metropolis, where over 20 suspects were reportedly picked up. Asked for details of the operations, the Osun Police Command Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed raids on black spots in the state capital, adding that the state Police Commissioner, Wale Olokode, took the step to ensure security of lives and property.
