The Osun State House of Assembly, on Thursday, passed the Grazing Regulation and Cattle Ranch Establishment Bill 2021 into law.The two bills became law at plenary after the Deputy Majority Leader, Kunle Akande moved two motions that were seconded by Martins Adeyeye representing Ife East State Constituency and Mulikat Abiola Jimoh representing Ifelodun State Constituency respectively.
On the bill seeking to prohibit Violence Against Persons, Speaker Owoeye observed that with its passage by the State House of Assembly, there would be an appreciable reduction in violence in public places and against women and others. While maintaining that the bill would reduce violence and thuggery in politics especially amongst politicians, he assured that provisions have been made within the bill for maximum protection of persons anywhere within the state.
