An Abuja Uber driver, Akin Awojobi, has been stabbed to death by suspected car snatchers.
The slain driver, it was gathered, was attacked on Friday t around the National Mosque area and died at the National hospital, Abuja on Saturday as a result of the injuries he sustained.They, however, said his assailants attacked him, left him conscious, and left his car behind. Abiodun Friday said, “The pilot was stabbed multiple times. He was attacked around the National Mosque on Friday night. He was lying in a pool of blood. They tried to take his car away but they didn’t succeed. Motorists later rushed him to the National Hospital where he died on Saturday. His car is with the police.
“This is getting too much. Pilots are getting attacked every week. Last week, they robbed and stabbed one of us after the Wuye Bridge towards Wonderland near the city gate, they collected his phone. It was a Good Samaritan who came out of his car with two of his brothers. The hoodlums ran away with his phone. We need the security agencies to help us. It is not safe out there for us.”
