Ohanaeze Ndigbo Secretary-General, Okechukwu Isiguzoro has claimed that he escaped an assassination attempt.
The Ohanaeze Secretary-General disclosed that while travelling for the funeral of the late Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate in Abia State, Uche Ikonne, the assassins accosted his vehicle and were shooting at it. “On the course of the chase, my car was shot at around Isiagu junction along Enugu-Port Harcourt expressway; we ran into a military checkpoint consisting of a joint team; they were alerted, and the Camry swerved and returned to the local route. We reported the incident to the security agents and continued our movement to Abia State.
