Despite public outcry and backlashes on the ongoing demolition of alleged illegal properties in Kano State, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf yesterday vowed to sustain the exercise.Despite public outcry and backlashes on the ongoing demolition of alleged illegal properties in Kano State, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf yesterday vowed to sustain the exercise.
Although there is a subsisting court order to stay action on further demolitions, Yusuf insisted that more properties would be reclaimed. He said: “Your Highness, it is important for the emirate council to note that we embarked on the demolition exercise to bring back public properties that were illegally acquired and we will ensure that all such properties are restored back for the interest of the good people of Kano.”
