No life was lost on Thursday morning when the studio of Hi-Impact TV caught fire in the Ibafo area of Ogun State.
The staff of the TV station and those of an amusement park on the premises were reported to have stood up to the occasion by curtailing the spread of the fire before the arrival of men of Ogun State and Redeemed Christian Church of God fire services who put out the fire. In a statement titled, ‘Hi-Impact TV Studio on Fire’, Adeyeloye Lipede, the Managing Director of Solution Media & Infotech, the mother company of the television station, said the cause of the fire outbreak was yet to be known.
Lipede said, “At about 8am today Thursday 12th August 2021, the Studios of Nigeria’s first full HD Television, Hi-Impact TV caught fire.
