Abba Yusuf, governor of Kano, has directed all commissioner-nominees to declare their assets in compliance with the code of conduct rules.
Jibrin Falgore, the speaker of the house, confirmed the submission of the list during plenary.AdvertisementThe Kano governor in a statement on Tuesday by Bature Tofa, his press secretary, said all the nominees are expected to declare their assets before they are screened by the state house of assembly.
He said no nominee would be sworn in as a member of his cabinet without filling the assets declaration form issued by the Code of Conduct Bureau .“All other political appointees under this administration shall also comply with the directive accordingly,” NAN quoted Yusuf as saying. The Kano governor said transparency and accountability remain principles of his administration as he strives to deliver good governance to the people.
