The Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, Delta State Branch has noted with displeasure, the five thousand naira monthly

The NMA called on the Delta State Government to approve a percentage of the consolidated basic salaries as a monthly hazard allowance for all doctors and healthcare workers in their continued battle against infectious diseases and other contagions on daily basis. According to the NMA, “Medical officers are presently not receiving full CONMESS as approved and implemented for doctors in Delta State.

“Also, before the approval of CONMESS salary structure, there was a Riverine Allowance payable to workers who work in the Riverine Areas of Delta State.
