A woman and her daughter were on Thursday afternoon crushed to death by a passenger train plying the Itakpe-Warri railway line in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.gathered that the sad incident which took place about 3:40 pm on Thursday occurred at the Aragba area of Orhuwhorun town.
Witnesses said that the ill-fated woman and her teenage daughter were crossing the rail track when they were knocked down by the fast-moving train.Though details of the incident were sketchy as of the time of filing this report, witnesses said that the incident led to a state of pandemonium in the area.
When contacted, DSP Edafe Bright, acting Police Public Relations Officer of the Police Command in the state, confirmed the incident to NAN.
