The acting Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Caroline Adepoju, has assured that passport processing procedures would receive greater priority to address the complaints of Nigerians. CG Adepoju also promised to constitute more passport point offices especially in Lagos State where the population was high in order to address the issue of passport delays. She gave the charge during a parade in Lagos State to mark her takeover, while ordering personnel of the service to desist from unprofessional conducts.

June 11, 2023The acting Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Caroline Adepoju, has assured that passport processing procedures would receive greater priority to address the complaints of Nigerians.

She gave the charge during a parade in Lagos State to mark her takeover, while ordering personnel of the service to desist from unprofessional conducts. Represented by the Comptroller, Lagos Passport Command Office, Mr. Mfon Udoh, the CG noted that the service under her leadership would prioritise passport processing procedures, staff welfare and issues of border security.

The Acting Comptroller General explained that she decided to focus “on personnel welfare and passport issues because the two areas have witnessed lots of complaint from both the applicants and personnel of the immigration service.”
