The Nigerian Army has reacted to recent allegations by Oluwaseun Sakaba, widow of a deceased lieutenant-colonel, Ibrahim Sakaba that the Force had yet to pay the dues of her late husband, among others.

Oluwaseun, who took to her Instagram handle, cursed the Nigerian Army and the terrorists for causing the death of her husband, thereby making her a widow at a young age. Nwachukwu also stated that the entitlement owed Oluwaseun is the Group Life Assurance which would soon be paid. “The demise of late Col Ibrahim Sakaba, like those of other officers and soldiers who paid the supreme price in the war against terrorism in the North-East, is one that is painful to the NA. These men and women died serving our nation, fighting to restore peace and stability in the North East. This is in tandem with the constitutional mandate of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
