Twitter has said that it looks forward to Nigeria lifting the suspension on its services after an advanced negotiation.had reported that Federal Government banned Twitter on June 5 after the microblogging site deleted a remark from the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari ’s account.
“The ban on Twitter will soon be lifted as we are getting close to reaching full agreement. We have agreed on some areas, hopefully in the next few days or weeks we will conclude,” the minister said. “We look forward to ongoing discussions with the Nigerian government and seeing the service restored very soon.”
