Cross River State Governor Prince Bassey Out has directed the total ban on the activities of commercial motorcyclists within the Calabar metropolis, the state capital. According to the state government, the directive followed due consultation with key security chiefs in the state. A statement issued by Emmanuel Ogbeche, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor on Wednesday, said by the directive, the activities of commercial motorbike riders, popularly called okada riders, have been limited to remote parts of the state, away from the city centre.
