The Niger State Commissioner of Police, Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman, has ordered a significant deployment of police personnel and assets to ensure a safe and peaceful Christmas and New Year period. The directive includes increased patrols in public areas, including places of worship, recreation centers, motor parks, and highways. The CP emphasized intelligence-led policing, high visibility patrols, and strict adherence to the Operation Order for the season. He also urged members of the public to cooperate with authorities by remaining law-abiding, avoiding fireworks, and reporting any suspicious activities.
Niger State Commissioner of Police , Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman has ordered a massive deployment of personnel and operational assets for a peaceful yuletide period in the state. The CP in a statement signed by his Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun in Minna said, the period of Christmas and the New Year is usually characterised by high human and vehicular movements, with religious and socio-economic activities.
He also directed officers to strictly adhere to and enforce the Operation Order drawn for the season and ensure intelligence-led and high visibility policing with respect for human rights across the highway in the State for the security of travellers and free flow of traffic for road users.
