March 9 polls: Don’t turn Delta to war zone, Gbagi cautions Osinbajo, Oshiomhole vanguardngr.com vanguardnews

Gbagi, who spoke to Vanguard in an interview, said, “Delta is a PDP state, so I want to advise Oshiomhole whose idea I know it is, to bring the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, to Warri, on Monday, to make inflammatory statements on Saturday polls that he cannot enslave Deltans and they should not turn Delta to a war zone.

The industrialist said, “The way the Vice President and Oshiomhole spoke about Delta properly keying into the center by going the way of APC relates to allocation and is like a joke to me. Do you allocate a state or you woo them to vote for you.”It is not an allocation that it has to go to this and go to that, the Vice President did not win his ward and heaven did not fall, so thinking that Delta is a cash cow and they should turn it to a war zone by hook or crook is wrong.

Gbagi urged Deltans to uphold, on Saturday, the subsisting power formula in the state, which allows the people of Delta North Senatorial district to take their second tenure through Govenor Ifeanyi Okowa. Commenting on the allegation that PDP was colluding with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and security agents, he said, “Clearly, Police, Army and INEC are federal it is a case of somebody, who knows that he will defeated because their party is not on the ground trying to use his power to cause confusion.”They should stop making inciting statements to scare away people, including investors, from the state.
