AGGRIEVED members of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Tubegba Federated Communities, Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State have vowed to boycott the the March 9 governorship election over their alleged marginalisation by the leadership of the party in the state.They also decried the failure of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to increase their units to reflect the statutory provision of 500 voters per unit.
The party members in the communities which comprised Bolou – Tubegbe, Tamo – Tubegbe and Toru -Tubegbe in ward 3 of the council area lamented the failure of the state PDP to recognize their voting strength and participation in elections in connection with allocation of rewards from the party.
He listed their grievances to include the “failure of the state government to recognize their voting strength and participation in previous elections in connection with infrastructure and political appointments viewing us as having only two polling units without considering our voting strength that is up to six units by INEC standard.” He called on Gov.
