Many residents have been reportedly killed during an attack by suspected bandits on villages in Rafi LGA of Niger state.

“The attack has been going on for about three days now. They have killed scores of people, rustled some cattle, and even kidnapped many people,” he said.“The attack is unabated, it has been on day and night for three days now. As I am speaking with now right now, they are around the Mashegu axis. They come out from different angles.

“We are doing our best, security agencies are doing their best. Our regret is to the villagers, those in the rural communities living peacefully in their communities and now they are being displaced. “The bandits attacked Kusherki village yesterday but they have been attacking some of our villages since Thursday. They invaded Kusherki village at about 2 pm after Juma’at prayer yesterday,” he said.
