The police, on Monday, arraigned a 32-year-old man, Bello Ismaila, before an Ado Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly receiving stolen cattle.

The police prosecutor, Johnson Okunade, told the court that the defendant allegedly received two stolen cattle from one Abdulkadril Buba around 5pm on May 21 at Ogotun Ekiti.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against him, while his counsel, Toyin Oluwole, urged the court to grant his client bail, with a promise that he would not jump bail. This was as two teenagers, Abdullahi and Bashiru, were also arraigned before an Ado Ekiti Magistrates’ Court for alleged stealing and unlawful entry.The police prosecutor, Sodiq Adeniyi, alleged in court that the defendants committed the offence on June 3 around 12noon at Lane 9, Ifesowapo Area, Bovas Junction in Ado Ekiti.
