Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has called on the military to do everything within its capacity to secure the country’s democracy.
The governor made the call while hosting the new General Officer Commanding 2 Division, Ibadan, Maj-Gen. Mohammed Usman, who visited his office in Agodi, Ibadan.
While pledging his administration’s support for the security agents to carry out their duties diligently, Makinde commended the impartial nature of the military, saying they still have more responsibilities to defend votes of the electorate during the next general elections. The governor inaugurated the committee, yesterday, during a programme held in the Executive Chambers of the Governor’s Office.
