LG seals off gas station in Lagos
Mafoluku as a result of non-compliance with environmental/public health protocols by the gas station.
The HOD, therefore, warned liquid petroleum gas retailers in the local government area to comply with regulations and safety precautions which include obtaining valid documents, possession of approved fire extinguisher, spacious environment to avoid combustion, and putting other vital measures in place in order to save the community from fire incident.
He appealed to people to stop converting residential buildings in the community into commercial outlets such as gas stations, saying most of them negate the safety and well-being of the people.He enjoined everyone to maintain a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment “especially as we move into the rainy season and people should not hesitate to report anyone or group of people who violates the environmental regulations to the local government authority.
