The Health Facilities Monitoring and Accreditation Agency has said it has outsourced its inspection of health facilities in Lagos State to eight private organisations.
“The private organisations were selected following a due procurement process and will monitor both the public and private health facilities in the Local Governments Areas assigned to each of them. However, HEFAMAA officers will continue to work with these private organisations.”
The agency’s Executive Secretary, Dr Abiola Idowu, noted that the inspection will involve the assessment of health facilities and the investigation of complaints from the public. “Let me assure you that our officers will continue to carry out inspection of new facilities for registration purposes, assessment of facilities for empanelment into the Health Insurance Scheme, investigation of petitions and complaints from the public as well as enforcement of the law,” she said. All rights reserved.
