Nigeria Customs Service, Kwara State command, generated and remitted over N10b between January -May 2024. The Customs Area Comptroller, Faith Ojeifo, disclosed this at a press conference, held at the command's headquarters in Ilorin on Thursday.

The Customs Area Comptroller, Faith Ojeifo , disclosed this at a press conference, held at the command's headquarters in Ilorin on Thursday. According to him, ' a comparative review of the preceding year 2023, indicates that the command surpassed what was collected in the same period last year with over N2.885b, representing 40.41 per cent.
Faith further disclosed that within the period under review, 21 seizures of different prohibited items were recorded They include 507 bags of foreign rice, one unit of used vehicles, 1,055 pieces of used tyres and 164 jerry cans of petrol, amounting to a total duty paid value of N35,416,140. The command also donated relief materials to the Kwara State Ministry of Social Development to provide relief, comfort, support and to those who have been affected by specific crises or challenges.
