The Nigeria Customs Service on Tuesday mourned the death of a Deputy Controller of Customs, Etop Essien, who died on Tuesday.

Shortly after his demise, the NCS issued a statement, extolling the virtues of the late officer. The service in a statement by its spokesman, Abdullahi Maiwada, said “He was known for his diligence and exceptional service record in the Accounts Unit. His role as DC Revenue was pivotal in ensuring the accurate reconciliation of revenue, which he performed with utmost precision and dedication,” the statement read.
