The former governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, is set to be arraigned at the Federal High Court in Abuja on 19-count money laundering charges. This follows an earlier arraignment on November 27 where Bello requested bail.
Former Kogi State governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, is set for arraignment at the Federal High Court in Abuja where the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC ) will file 19-count charges of money laundering against him. The hearing, initially scheduled for January 27, has been brought forward due to Bello's presence before the EFCC . He is expected to appear before Justice Emeka Nwite to enter his plea.
This is the second time Bello faces charges from the EFCC, following an earlier arraignment on November 27 where he requested bail and the court set December 10 for a ruling on the bail application
