Residents of NASFAT community, Felele phase II, a suburb of Lokoja, the Kogi State Capital, have lamented absence of power supply by the Abuja Electricity

The Community Chairman, Hon Sani Ibrahim and Chairman Committee on Electricity, Raji Omuya disclosed this on Monday in a Save Our Soul letter addressed to the Lokoja office of AEDC.

The group lamented that the development has continued to bring hardship in the area, paralyzing economic activities. They stated that hoodlums now capitalize on the power outage to perpetuate all forms of criminal activities. The letter reads in part “We are calling on AEDC and Governor Yahaya Bello to quickly come to our aid. Our community has been suffering from total blackout for several months. Economic activities have been crippled, hoodlums are taking advantage of this situation.

“All we are asking for is a new transformer to fix our electricity problem.
