Katsina To Establish Centre For Research On Banditry - Latest News
This was revealed in an interview with the special adviser to the governor on security matters, Ahmed Ibrahim Katsina. He said plans have been concluded by the government in collaboration with development partners to set up the centre which would be a reference point for study of banditry.
He said the state government took several measures and approaches that have resulted in the reduction of crime and criminality in the state, adding that its community-based approach has been commended by the development partners and other international agencies. He said, “We are in partnership with some research institutions, universities, international bodies and others. And when we establish the centre for research and study on banditry, we will become a reference point for others to learn.
“We are in partnership with United Nations, European Union, USAID and other development agencies.
